Tajh Ariza, the son of 2009 NBA champ Trevor Ariza, is a five-star recruit in the Class of 2026. The 16-year-old usually collaborates with famous basketball pages on Instagram, such as Slam or The Hoop Spill, or shares pictures of the offers he gets.
However, this time, Ariza posted something just a little bit different. The Overtime Elite small forward did put his highlight reel boasting his dunking skills, vision on the court, and ability to convert difficult shots. However, in one of his pictures, he also shared a nice moment he had with his younger brother Tristan Ariza, as the duo appears to smile candidly with a picture of a man standing in the sky in another photo:
"Nights like these," Ariza captioned the picture.
The Playa del Rey, California, native ranks at the sixth spot nationally, second spot in his position, and fifth rank in California. Furthermore, he has a 93 Scout Grade and ranks at the seventh spot in the 2026 ESPN 60 Recruiting Database.
Ariza studies at the Westchester Senior School and played for Team Why Not at the Nike EYBL17U Circuit. He averaged 5.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. While playing in the Nike EYBL E15 Circuit, the 6-foot-8 forward posted averages of 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest.
In his latest performance at the Battle by the Beach: The High School Fall Invite, Ariza impressed the fans with a dominant display while his father sat courtside.
With a NIL valuation of $605K (according to On3), Ariza ranks 29th in the High School Basketball NIL Rankings.
Tajh Ariza talks about creating his legacy
Ariza has impressed the scouts and the fans so far. In an interview with Slam Online last month, the Westchester senior player talked about wanting to create his legacy:
“I gotta keep putting in work every day,” Tajh told Slam Online. “You know, my dad [had a] great career, but I want to have my own name and show people like, 'Oh, I want to be like him, you know?' So I just gotta keep working so I can get there.”
As Ariza prepares for his junior season, he already has offers from USC, UCLA, UNLV, Kansas, Washington, Arizona State, Arkansas, Kentucky and more. According to On3's prediction machine, USC has the best chance of recruiting him (17.4% probability).
Which college do you think we will see Ariza play for next season?
