Julian Lewis and the Carrollton Trojans took on the Hillgrove Hawks in a Class 6A quarterfinal on Friday. The Trojans came into the game with a 12-0 record, whereas the Hawks were 11-1. It was supposed to be a close encounter between two great teams, but Lewis' teammates turned it into a blowout.

Although the four-star prospect started the game as the Trojans' quarterback, he suffered an injury in the first quarter and was taken off the field. Dylan Bishop took over the quarterbacking duties and led the Trojans to a 46-6 win. Lewis was proud of his teammates as he watched from the sidelines.

"Proud of my guys tonight!!! Round 4," Lewis tweeted after the game.

Carrollton will play the Buford Wolves (12-1) in its next game on Friday. The program hopes to have its star signal-caller back, but the game against Hillgrove proved the team can still function at a high level without Lewis.

Julian Lewis flipped his commitment from USC to Colorado last month

Julian Lewis, a four-star quarterback from Carrollton High School, flipped his commitment from Lincoln Riley's USC to the Colorado Buffaloes on Nov. 21. He chose the Deion Sanders-led program over other top schools such as Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Texas, Florida, Texas A&M and LSU.

Lewis is expected to take over from Shedeur Sanders as the Buffs' starter as soon as next year.

"It’s a huge opportunity! What Coach Prime has been able to build in two seasons can’t be denied," Lewis said in a statement, according to On3. "Coach Shurmur has been an NFL offensive coordinator and head coach, so he understands exactly what’s needed at the next level."

He became the Buffaloes' 11th commitment in the Class of 2025. Their class is ranked No. 31 in the country, which is a massive improvement after a terrific November. Sanders and company acquired five commitments last month and are on their way to creating a great roster.

Julian Lewis is ranked No. 39 in the country and is the sixth-best quarterback in the Class of 2025 by On3. He is also the sixth-best overall prospect from Georgia.
