"QB 1 jus a chill dude": Colorado fans react to signees Julian Lewis, Quentin Gibson and London Merritt at UA All-American game

The 2024 high school football season has come to a close, but there are a plethora of All-Star games being played. Those include the Army All-American and Under Armour All-American games. Several Colorado Buffaloes signees participated in the Under Armour game.

Colorado signees Julian Lewis, Quentin Gibson and London Merritt were at the Under Armour All-American game and many fans reacted to Lewis' attendance.

"JuJu a good kid man, Qb1 jus a chill dude," one tweeted.

"JuJu about to get a headphone NIL soon," another wrote.

"QB1 really a chill guy," another posted.

The chill guy meme origniated on TikTok and made its way to other social media platforms.

Julian Lewis breakdown

In his three years as a starter at Carrollton High School, Julian Lewis threw for 11,010 yards and 144 touchdowns to 21 interceptions. Carrollton lost the Georgia State Championship 24-38 to Grayson High School on Dec. 19.

Lewis was rated as a four-star prospect, the ninth-rated QB, the 14th-best player in Georgia and 115th nationally in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports. He held over 35 offers from schools like Georgia, USC, Indiana, Alabama and Auburn.

He originally committed to USC but flipped to Colorado in November before signing with the Buffaloes last month. Lewis enrolled early and was able to participate in Alamo Bowl preparations with Colorado.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder is a dynamic quarterback with good pocket presence and an ability to move around the pocket and make accurate throws. Julian Lewis can extend plays if needed. He also has a quick release of the football and throwing mechanics that are up to par with other top quarterback recruits.

Some of Julian's awards and accolades include being named the 2023 MaxPreps National Sophmore of the Year and a finalist for the Gatorade National Player of the Year. He was also awarded Region Offensive Player of the Year in Georgia's 7A class.

Colorado Buffaloes recruiting breakdown

The Colorado Buffaloes have the 25th-ranked recruiting class in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports. Their 2025 class features nine enrollees and five signees, some of whom are four-star prospects. They also have the 16th-ranked transfer class that features 12 athletes.
