Alijah Arenas, son of the three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, has impressed with his performances at Chatsworth High School. The shooting guard, who was reclassified to the Class of 2025, is yet to commit to a program. Arenas was ranked 10th in 247Sports' Class of 2025 rankings.

Basketball recruiting insider Travis Branham talked about Arenas' ability, commending his skills in an Instagram video uploaded on Saturday.

"In the 2026 Class, we had him ranked as a five-star and even upon his reclassification, you don't see that often, a kid maintaining that five-star status and he has," the recruiting insider said.
"What really stood out about him is his size, length and his body type for a position. He's a very advanced, very skilled three-level scorer and that should come as no surprise."

He continued to talk about his father and the kind of impact Alijah would have in college.

"He is the son of the former Arizona and NBA star who filled it up for years in the NBA and his son gets those same attributes from his father. So, a three-level scorer that is going to be an instant impact kid in college but it looks like he will be a professional scorer at some point in life," Branham added.

Alijah Arenas played 78 games with Chatsworth across three seasons, averaging 31.8 points, 2.9 assists, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks. As a sophomore last season, he played 35 games and averaged 33.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks.

In his freshman year in 2021-22, the 6-foot-5 guard scored 30.3 points, grabbed 9.0 rebounds, dished out 2.0 assists, stole the ball 1.4 times and had 1.6 blocks per contest in 27 games. Arenas has played 16 games this season, averaging 31.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 4.3 apg, 2.2 spg and 0.8 bpg.
