The top-ranked prospect in the 2025 high school basketball class, AJ Dybantsa, left fans in awe of his performance at this year's Grind Session. Dybantsa is among many top players in the first-ever winter circuit of elite high school basketball events.
On Saturday, he led Utah Prep to a 100-63 win over Accelerated Prep in Las Vegas.
Dybantsa recorded eight points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists and three steals. His teammate, John Southwick, recorded 22 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals.
But despite being outscored, Dybantsa had the highlight moment of the game with a dunk.
Fans praised Dybantsa's incredible wingspan after the Grind Session's Instagram page posted the dunk video.
“Red Bull ⚙️🏀 gives you wings,” @therealgrindsession said in the comment section.
"OMG," another user said.
This was so wild,” a user said.
"Red Bull does give you wings they said," another user said.
“Getting dunked on a whipping you feet it’s literally insane,” a fan said.
Dybantsa's Utah Prep will face the Dream City Christian on Friday.
AJ Dybantsa and Red Bull connection
The "Red Bull gives you wings" in the comment section should not be surprising, as AJ Dybantsa has a deal with the energy drink manufacturer.
With his profile on the rise, Dybantsa signed an NIL deal with Red Bull, the first men's basketball player to sign an NIL deal with the brand.
Utah Prep is playing the role of a brand ambassador well. He was at the Las Vegas Grand Prix last month to show support for the brand.
Dybantsa’s deal with Red Bull raised his NIL value to $2.6 million (per On3), the highest in high school basketball's 2025 class.
