Alijah Arenas, the son of three -time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, reclassified to the Class of 2025 from 2026. The guard hasn't made a decision on his preferred college yet and continues to play for Chatsworth.
In a game against his cousins on Friday, the twin sons of 2017 NBA champion Matt Barnes, Arenas helped his team to a 77-72 victory against Crespi. He dominated with 35 points to extend Chatsworth's unbeaten streak to 6-0.
Famous basketball page 'Ballislife,' posted a video of an impressive 360 layup attempted by Arenas on the Crespi defender. While Arenas couldn't convert the shot, the referee called a charge on the Chatsworth, CA native.
Texas rapper RiFF RAFF and fans posted heir reactions on the referee's call. RAFF posted:
"Ref ain't never been hooper. He waitin to call somethin"
Another fan was not happy with referee's call:
"That ref a hater that move was too clean."
Alijah Arenas has been very consistent on the court with Chatsworth High School. In the 2024-25 season, he's averaging 25.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
He also showed his scoring prowess in the Adidas 3SSB circuit when playing for the Compton Magic in 17U level, averaging 21.4 PPG on 48.0% shooting, including 24.3% from beyond the arc.
According to On3, he has received 20 offers from top programs, including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Fresno State, UCLA and Washington State.

Gilbert Arenas broke out the news of his son reclassifying to the Class of 2025 during a live stream on 'Playback' on Dec. 3.
Alijah Arenas also talked about the move in a video uploaded on YouTube by Tarek Fattal on Dec. 4:
"It's just exciting like I'm just kind of like ready for it," Alijah Arenas said (1:11 - 1:30).
"I know what I'm expecting so I'm just here like kind of just ready to take all the hits and then just move forward and keep doing what I'm doing, is the biggest thing like for me nothing is really going to change but just going up, so I know what I was expecting going up I'm not just making the uh the decision and not know what I'm doing."
