Wednesday was senior night for Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, and point guard Lino Mark made his presence felt during the game against Bishop Alemany. He scored 25 points to help lead the Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) Knights to a 93-54 victory.
Mark also hit a career milestone, as he crossed the 1000-point mark. Ballislife shared the guard's highlight reel on Instagram on Thursday with the caption:
"Rutgers commit Lino Mark went off for 25 points in his senior night and hit the 1k mark for career points 👀👀."
Lino Mark, who has already signed with Rutgers, showed his offensive prowess as he was able to hit some threes and also pick apart the opposing team's defenses. With that win, Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) now has a 19-3 record and is second in the Mission League in Southern California.
Mark is rated as a four-star by 247Sports and is No.125 overall along with the No. 14 ranking as a point guard. However, he is a three-star recruit per On3, ranking No. 172 overall and No. 24 among point guards.
Lino Mark talks about committing to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Lino Mark verbally committed to Ruthers last October. He made the announcement in the presence of his teammates, coaches, friends, and family. The guard signed with the school a month later, making things official.
"It feels amazing to commit to Rutgers," Lino Mark said. "It's always a process to get to this next level and I feel like I'm playing for a great program, a great opportunity, and to fit into a new environment.
"I have the opportunity to get better and play the game I love, and it's a blessing. It was a no-brainer that Rutgers was the school for me."
Rutgers coach Steve Pikiell also shared his thoughts on welcoming the guard to his 2025 class.
"Lino comes from a great family and is another high-energy, high-flying guard who knows how to play," said the coach. "Lino competed for a terrific AAU program in the Oakland Soldiers and led Notre Dame High School in California. He sees the floor, can finish at the rim and Rutgers fans are going to love his energy and his toughness."
Before Wednesday's win Notre Dame was coming off a loss against the Boozer Twins and the Christopher Columbus Explorers on Jan. 18. The Knights will next take on Duke signee Nikolas Khamenia and Harvard Westlake on Friday.
