AJ Dybantsa is a McDonald's All-American. The Utah Prep star was among the 24 players selected to participate in the 48th McDonald's All-American boys' game at Barclays Center on April 1. Dybantsa celebrated his selection on Instagram on Monday.

The post showed Dybantsa in a Utah Prep jersey with the McDonald's All-American logo in the background. He was surrounded by images of himself with his past and present teams. The photos included Dybantsa in action for Team USA and the teen star wearing BYU gear.

He included a caption that read:

"One, remember without God you ain't nun."

Basketball stars were quick to comment on the BYU signee's post, including Rutgers guard Dylan Harper and Houston signee Chris Cenac Jr.

Harper replied with a couple of hundred-point emojis. Cenac, meanwhile, who won the gold medal with Dybantsa for Team USA in the 2024 FIBA U17 Men's World Cup, had a one-word reaction.

"Teammate," Cenac wrote with a handshake emoji.

Here are some other reactions.

"Amen," UCF Knights star Mikey Williams wrote.
"Seen this on the Simpsons," Alabama Crimson Tide star Derrion Reid commented.
"The chosen 1!" one fan wrote.
"Natty with BYU next?" one fan asked.

AJ Dybantsa joins exclusive list of BYU players who became McDonald's All-Americans

AJ Dybantsa grabbed headlines in December when he announced his commitment to BYU, choosing the Cougars over the North Carolina Tar Heels and Alabama Crimson Tide. It was a major coup for the program, which landed its first-ever five-star recruit.

Dybantsa made further history with his McDonald's All-American selection, becoming the first BYU player since Garner Meads in 2000 to accomplish that feat. Four other BYU stars took part in the McDonald's All-American Game in the past: Shawn Bradley, Devin Durrant, Greg Kite and Michael Smith.

Dybantsa's arrival can't come soon enough for the BYU Cougars, who have started the 2024-25 NCAA season with a 13-6 record. They are in the midst of a two-game winning streak after beating the Cincinnati Bearcats 80-52 on Saturday night.

Richie Saunders starred for the Cougars on the night, scoring 21 points on 7-for-15 shooting. He was lights out from beyond the arc as well, knocking down 5-of-7 attempts from 3-point range.
