Three-star cornerback and Cincinnati commit Jordyn Woods has received an offer from Ryan Day's Ohio State weeks after his visit to Columbus. The cornerback from Cartersville (GA) was present as the Buckeyes defeated Nebraska on Saturday, Oct. 26. Woods had to wait another two weeks for Ohio State to extend an offer, but it eventually came.

Woods committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats in June amid interest from other top programs, including Michigan State, Virginia and Minnesota. Despite his commitment, the Buckeyes are intent on flipping him. The cornerback is due for an official visit to Ohio State later in November, which he seems enthusiastic about. He told Letterman Row:

“It would mean a lot. I can't speak too much about the actions I would take when it comes to my commitment, but it would be something to talk over with my parents for sure.”

Jordyn Woods is a 6-foot-4,175 pound, three-star prospect and one of the four commits at cornerback in Cincinnati's 2025 recruiting class. He is ranked the No. 117 cornerback in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking and is the No. 1,274 prospect overall.

Ryan Day and Ohio State's 2025 class of recruits

On3 ranks Ryan Day's 2025 class of recruits at No. 2 on its 2025 Football Team Recruiting Ranking, behind only Alabama. Day’s team has secured 26 total commitments in the class so far. Three of the commits are rated five-star, with 19 four-star commits, and the remaining four are rated three-star.

Five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair is the Buckeyes’ headline recruit for the 2025 class, with cornerbacks Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord also five-star prospects.

The Buckeyes are one of the best-performing programs this season, with a 7-1 overall record. Ryan Day's only loss this season came against No. 1 Oregon with a 32-31 scoreline. That defeat notwithstanding, the Buckeyes remain in the race for the B1G title.

They are scheduled to play the Purdue Boilermakers who are winless in the B1G. They will then travel to Evanston on Nov. 16 to take on Northwestern and then host Indiana and Michigan on Nov. 23 and 30 for two of their most important games of the season.
