Four-star edge rusher Elijah Littlejohn is one of the most highly touted juniors in the nation. The standout prospect from West Mecklenburg High School in North Carolina received his latest college offer from Ohio State on Thursday.

"Blessed to receive an offer from Ohio state."

Nick Murphy, Ohio State Director of Recruiting Strategy, stopped by West Mecklenburg High School to see Littletjohn earlier this week. This offer proves the Buckeyes' serious interest in Littlejohn, who is the No. 27 edge rusher in the 2026 class, the No. 15 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 302 recruit in the nation.

Georgia is currently leading in Littlejohn's recruitment with a 46.1% chance of securing his commitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. However, he hasn't declared a clear leader yet, leaving room for Ohio State to make a strong push to turn the tide in their favor.

Ahead of Littlejohn, Ohio State has offered multiple edge rushers in the 2026 class, including four-star prospects Aiden Harris, Zion Elee, Jake Kreul, Jamarion Carlton, Simote Katoanga, Cam Brooks, Carter Meadows, Shaun Scott, Keysaun Eleazer, Zavion Griffin-Haynes and Derek Colman-Brusa, among others. The Buckeyes are favorites to land Harris, Eleazer, Scott, Colman-Brusa and Griffin-Haynes.

What is Elijah Littlejohn's potential at Ohio State?

Elijah Littlejohn has established himself as a phenomenal force thanks to his versatility and ability to make plays from multiple positions. Whether rushing off the edge or playing off the ball, his ability to disrupt offenses sets him apart.

“I feel like the strength of my game is my speed and my ability to get to the quarterback,” Littlejohn told Touchdown Alabama.

He had an exceptional junior season to earn 1st Team All-Conference honors. He posted remarkable stats, including 84 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 24 quarterback hurries and 14 sacks. His performance also earned him a Big 22 nomination. This success builds on a stellar sophomore season, during which he recorded 102 tackles, 15 sacks and three forced fumbles.

Securing such a talented player would be a significant win for Ohio State's 2026 class, which currently has four committed players. The Buckeyes' recruiting efforts this cycle rank No. 8 in the nation.
