Bryce James had one of his best games of the season so far. It happened during this year's Hoophall Classic at the home of the Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday.
He had an all-around game against one of the Top 25 teams in the nation, the Grayson Rams, with 16 points, five rebounds and four steals, earning him MVP of the game honors.
His performance elicited several reactions, including fellow Sierra Canyon students Jessie and D'Lila, better known as the Combs Twins, daughters of controversial rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs. They shared their reaction to Bryce James' achievement on their Instagram Stories. It consisted of three 'clapping' emojis.
The twins are cheerleaders for Sierra Canyon and are often present for their games. They were spotted cheering for Bryce James and the rest of the Trailblazers during the school's senior night game against the Loyola Cubs on Thursday. Sierra Canyon won that game 84-42 with Bryce dropping 12 points.
The two Sierra Canyon cheerleaders have maintained their lavish lifestyles despite their father being incarcerated in New York City for alleged sex crimes. They have also stood by their father through all the accusations levied against him.
As for Bryce and Sierra Canyon, they held one of the most prolific scorers in high school basketball, five-star Caleb Holt, to just nine points on 2 of 13 shooting. Sierra Canyon won that game 60-46.
More tough challenges ahead for Bryce James and Sierra Canyon as showdowns with Notre Dame and Harvard Westlake loom
After their successful stint at the Hoophall Classic, Bryce James and the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers will be back in California for some home conference games.
Their next three games will all be road games, with the first one against Crespi on Jan. 22, and then at St. Francis on Jan. 24. The hardest game of this three-game road trip will be against four-star Nikolas Khamenia and Harvard Westlake, and this will happen on Jan. 28.
They will next take on Bishop Alemany at home on Jan. 30 before taking on the team's toughest challenge yet. On Feb. 1, Sierra Canyon will face off against Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks), which is led by No. 2-ranked 2026 prospect Tyran Stokes.
