Trash talk is common in high school basketball, with some of the biggest stars being known for doing it, including five-star 2026 prospect Jerzy Robinson. Over the summer, she competed in the Slam Summer Classic and did not mince her words regarding the No. 1 2025 recruit Aaliyah Chavez.
Robinson teamed up with four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony, in a 2-on-2 mixed-gender game against Chavez and No. 1 ranked AJ Dybantsa.
Chavez and Robinson played very physically against one another when she said that Chavez could not guard her.
"Yo, she's not guarding me. That's three in a row," she told the people watching the game. "Three fouls in a row. That's us, no that's is. She's fouling me." (11:43-11:55)
Chaves was guarding Jerzy Robinson very closely but ended up having three fouls in a row. This led the Sierra Canyon shooting guard to keep saying that Aaliyah Chavez could not guard her to anybody who was listening.
For her part, Chavez just kept shooting over Robinson and making her shots while not talking.
In the end, Anthony and Robinson defeated AJ Dybantsa and Chavez during that game. However, Chavez and Robinson's rivalry continued.
Both ladies had been talking trash to one another during the Slam Summer Classic. Their rivalry during the event culminated in the girls' game, which was won by Team Jerzy 67-60. Autumn Fleary and Jordyn Jackson were named co-MVPs of that contest.
Jerzy Robinson called out for calling New York City dirty
The Slam Summer Classic was held in New York City and as she was hanging out with her teammates, Jerzy Robinson described the city as dirty. However, many of her Team Jerzy teammates called her out on this.
"At least we're not inhaling sand," said Jordyn Jackson jokingly. "No fires here in New York baby!" (13:58-14:02)
Jackson, whom ESPN ranks at No. 10 from the Class of 2026, was poking fun at where Robinson was originally from, Arizona. That state is known for its heat and its desert areas. Robinson has since moved to LA, which is plagued by wildfires.
Jerzy Robinson, on the other hand, admitted that while she finds New York "dirty and stinky," she does love the city and finds the night there to be beautiful. However, she also admitted that she found the subway to be scary.
