Four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh, from Katy Jordan High School in Texas, announced his commitment to Michigan's 2025 class. The blue-chip prospect chose the Wolverines over Alabama, Penn State, Georgia, Ohio State, USC and Texas, among others.
Marsh received more than 35 Division I offers and his commitment to Sherrone Moore's program came after three visits this summer. His first visit to Ann Arbor came in early June and he returned last month for the annual BBQ at The Big House.
“The people, the history, the reputation and the ability to get to the next level are reasons why Michigan has always been up there,” Marsh told On3.
A big influence on Marsh’s decision was wide receiver coach Ron Bellamy.
"I really like what Bellamy can do," Marsh told The Michigan Insider. "So, (I think he's a good developer) just based off of what I've worked on with him, seen him do, and watching practices, and stuff like that. And then really his track record and his history at the school coaching the receiver position. I really like what he brings to the table."
Marsh is the second wide receiver to commit to Michigan's 2025 class, joining four-star Jacob Washington. He becomes the highest-rated wide receiver to commit to the Wolverines since Donovan Peoples-Jones in 2017.
Michigan now has 17 commits in the 2025 class, which ranks No. 13 in the nation and No. 3 in the Big Ten. The class already earned commitments from defensive lineman Nate Marshall, safety Ivan Taylor, tight end Andrew Olesh and safety Kainoa Winston.
Scouting Michigan's new commit Andrew Marsh
According to scouting analyst Gabe Brooks, Andrew Marsh is a productive receiver with a lean yet wiry-strong build. Michigan will be able to utilize him as an outside receiver who can push defenses vertically and secure wins on contested catches.
As a junior in 2023, the 6-foot-1 and 175-pound prospect caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns. His performance in 2022 was equally impressive, earning him the Texas District 19-6A Newcomer of the Year title after recording 53 receptions for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore.
Marsh's breakout year came in 2021, when, as a freshman, he posted 31 catches for 411 yards and five touchdowns. Over his three-year high school career, he has amassed 149 catches for 2,414 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Marsh is also a standout in track and field, boasting a high jump of 6-4 as a junior and early high school 400-meter times in the low 50.00s.
