Five-star high school basketball player Alijah Arenas is considered one of the best. But, could he compete with fully grown NBA stars like Kevin Durant and Naz Reid? Gilbert Arenas claims so. On Wednesday, he claimed on his podcast he watched a video of his son outplaying Reid.

However, many fans refuted his claims. Many contested that the video Gilbert Arenas was talking about was that of Alijah playing and practicing with Reid and Durant. Some who watched the video even fact-checked the former Washington Wizards star.

"He didn’t cook Naz Reid in the video that was shown. Naz blocked him and played good defense. Show clips of when he cooked him then I’ll believe the story," one wrote on Instagram.
"Then shows a video where he got blocked," one wrote.
"'Ay this is a true story' lol immediately know this isn't a true," another wrote.

Even more said they do not believe Agent Zero's claims. Some also compared Gilbert's claims to what LeBron James did when hyping up his son, Bronny.

"The video is out bro he was cooking but Naz was getting busy. And it’s hard for me to believe Alijah didn’t know who Naz Reid was," another commenter pointed out.
"Did I see it wrong or did Naz Reid kill his cut to the basket?" replied another person.
"Sounds like Bron hyping Bronny. What’s the point in writing woof tickets for your kid? Just putting a target on his back," another wrote.

Alijah Arenas talks about what type of college he wants to go to

Alijah Arenas shocked many when he announced he was reclassifying to the Class of 2025. This makes him a senior now, which begs the question, which college will he attend? The Chatsworth star spoke in an interview with Sports Illustrated regarding the decision.

"I don't have a dream school ... I haven't discovered that (list of schools) yet, but really looking into it ... I'll narrow things down the further we get into 2025," he said.

Arenas had previously said he would visit several schools over the spring before deciding. The two favorites are UCLA and Arizona.
