In a marquee event for high school football, SoFi Stadium will host the highly anticipated Brotherhood Bowl on October 18, 2024. The game, part of the stadium’s Friday Night Lights Series presented by the LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk, features two renowned programs from California's Trinity League: Servite High School and St. John Bosco High School.

Both teams, entering the contest with perfect 4-0 records, will meet in a must-see showdown. Servite will serve as the home team for this matchup.

“We are thrilled with the opportunity for our team to compete against a fellow all-boys school in a world-class venue," Servite coach Chris Reinert said told Sofistadium.com.
"Our young men will have the chance to create a memory of a lifetime with their teammates on the same field as the Rams and the Chargers. We are extremely grateful for the chance to represent the Trinity League as the first two programs to play at SoFi Stadium.”

St. John Bosco head coach Jason Negro (Bosco ‘91) echoed this sentiment:

“It is an honor to officially partner with the Servite Friars for this year’s Brotherhood Bowl to be played at SoFi Stadium. The brotherhood shown by both schools to make this happen has been truly amazing and a testament to our commitment to our schools’ communities!”

The two programs are no strangers to success. They have collectively captured nine CIF Championships and six CIF State titles. In 2023, both teams reached the CIF-SS Finals: St. John Bosco in Division 1 and Servite in Division 2. As of last Friday, St. John Bosco is ranked second in the nation, trailing only league rival Mater Dei.

The two powerhouse programs first met in 1965 and have played annually since 1999, when both competed in the Serra League. Now members of the elite Trinity League, both teams enter this contest with flawless 4-0 records.

Servite's wins include victories over East (Utah), Murrieta Valley, Chaminade, and Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. Meanwhile, St. John Bosco has triumphed over Chaminade-Madonna (Florida), Eastwood (Texas), Sierra Canyon, and Serra (San Mateo), with Pittsburgh (CA) up next.

This Brotherhood Bowl will mark the third high school football game at SoFi Stadium in 2024, following the Oct. 4 matchup between Mission Viejo and Long Beach Poly, and preceding the East LA Classic between Roosevelt and Garfield on Oct. 25.

Last year, Warren defeated Downey 28-21 in the inaugural SoFi high school game in front of 18,000 fans.
