Four-star defensive lineman Kendall Guervil has spent a busy summer while attending college camps. He has also received multiple scholarships.
This summer, he secured offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and USC, before adding offers from multiple other college programs. These include Missouri and Michigan in the last two months.
The latest school to enter the race for Guervil's recruitment is Steve Sarkisian's Texas. He shared the news of the Texas offer on X, tagging the Longhorns defensive line coach Kenny Baker:
"Extremely thankful to receive an offer from the University of Texas!! HOOK EM🤘🏾 @CoachK_Baker."
Securing an offer for Texas' 2026 class is a big milestone for the 6-foot-5 and 305-pound prospect, as this cycle ranks No. 1 in the Southeastern Conference and No. 3 in the nation.
It has earned commitments from three prospects so far: four-star quarterback Dia Bell, four-star safety Zelus Hicks and four-star wide receiver Chris Stewart.
This class also witnessed a de-commitment when four-star running back Raycine Guillory backed off his pledge in June.
However, besides Kendall Guervil, the Longhorns made offers to multiple uncommitted defensive line prospects for the 2026 class. These include Vodney Cleveland, Bryce Perry-Wright, Tajh Overton, Luke Wafle and Preston Carey.
Kendall Guervil's high school coach raves about his athleticism
Kendall Guervil is making waves in the football community as one of Southwest Florida’s standout defensive linemen, alongside North Fort Myers’ James 'JJ' Johnson.
Fort Myers coach Sam Sirianni Jr. speaks highly of Guervil's potential, describing him as an "introverted" individual off the field. But the coach lauded his ability to transform into a formidable player when needed.
“When the lights come on, you hope that a kid will turn a switch,” Sirianni told News-Press.
Guervil has committed himself to the goal of getting 1 percent better every day. This dedication is evident in his rigorous training regimen, which includes reshaping his physique and increasing his strength in the weight room. He also earned praise for blowing up blocking schemes and showing explosive speed.
Kendall Guervil is ranked by On3 Industry Rankings as the No. 176 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 16 defensive lineman in the 2026 class and the No. 32 recruit in Florida.
