David Sanders Jr., the five-star offensive tackle from Providence Day School, is one of the best high school prospects in the country. The 6-foot-5.75 tackle is sitting on more than 100 scholarship offers and is one of the most targeted athletes in the country.
Sanders has received offers from top programs such as Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson and South Carolina. However, according to On3's Steve Wiltfong, the Tennessee Volunteers are the current favorites to land the talented lineman.
Fans on social media have expressed their views regarding the prediction. Some fans said it was a smart decision.
"Smart decision young man over Nebraska," a fan said.
However, some fans criticized Sanders for potentially signing with the Volunteers.
"Bad decision young man you will lose to Missouri every year," one fan said.
"Terrible choice young man," another fan reacted.
"He lost a bet... poor decision young man," another fan commented.
Although the tackle hasn't made a final decision on his commitment, On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has given the Volunteers a massive 80.3% chance of landing Sanders.

The five-star offensive tackle from Charlotte, North Carolina, David Sanders Jr., has received a lot of interest from some of the best schools in the country. He is currently sitting on offers from top programs such as Tennessee, Michigan, Florida, Ohio State, Duke and USC. However, the Tennessee Volunteers are leading the race to acquire the five-star recruit.
"I just love Tennessee’s coaching staff," Sanders said in May, per On3. "Coach (Josh) Heupel and Coach (Glen) Elarbee, they do a great job with that personal connection. I think out of anybody, they do the best job calling, texting, just staying in contact with my parents and building that relationship.
"I just feel like you can be yourself at Tennessee. ... Even though it’s a big SEC school that wins a lot of games and is in contention for winning National Championships year in and year out, that’s a place you can go and freely be yourself."
David Sanders Jr. is ranked as the second-best overall prospect and the best offensive tackle in the country, per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the best overall prospect from North Carolina.
