Four-star athlete Madden Williams committed to Texas A&M's 2026 class on Saturday. The standout from St. John Bosco High School (California) chose Mike Elko's program over Oregon, Arizona State, Ohio State, Penn State and Texas.
Williams initially visited Texas A&M as a freshman under former head coach Jimbo Fisher but didn’t have the program high on his list until Elko and his staff took over. With renewed communication, he revisited the campus twice during the 2024 season, attending the Aggies’ 38-3 victory over New Mexico State on Nov. 16 and their 17-7 loss to Texas on Nov. 30.
Williams is coming off a breakout junior season at St. John Bosco, where he tallied 50 receptions for 851 yards and 13 touchdowns. This followed a strong sophomore campaign with 42 catches for 496 yards and five touchdowns. His playmaking ability has earned him place as the No. 20 athlete in the 2025 class, the No. 14 player in California, and the No. 102 prospect nationally, according to Rivals.
Madden Williams opens up about his commitment to Texas A&M
Madden Williams became the No. 10 commit in Texas A&M's 2026 class. This cycle ranks No. 2 in the Southeastern Conference and No. 4 in the nation.
“Texas A&M has a great staff, they develop players and they have great academic people and a support staff," Williams told On3. "My mother is comfortable with my transition from high school to college with the people in College Station.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Williams is known for his physicality and impressive jumping ability, which allows him to make contested catches. He believes his potential will flourish under the guidance of Aggies wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins, who has developed elite talents such as DeVonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs.
“They see the potential in me and I get to work with coach Wiggins," Williams said. "He has a great résumé, he knows how to develop players and he is ready to work with me. I know he will get the best out of me.
Madden Williams is ranked as an athlete, but he would play wide receiver for the Aggies. He joins fellow four-star prospect Aaron Gregory in the receiving room.
