Jonah Williams, the five-star safety from Galveston, Texas, announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. The 6-foot-3.25 athlete's July visit to Austin paid dividends as Steve Sarkisian's camp managed to land their 18th commitment from the class of 2025.

Texas fans were more than happy to acquire another five-star recruit to their roster from the class of 2025. Some fans rejoiced that the Texas native chose the Longhorns over other rival programs such as the Aggies.
"Texas are cooking tbf," one fan wrote.
However, not everyone appreciated Williams' commitment to the Longhorns. Some fans are skeptical about the athlete's decision and voiced their concerns on X.
"I guess he didn’t want to be part of the DBU. He would’ve been a perfect fit for LSU," one fan said.
