Texas A&M football recruiting: Taking a look at Mike Elko's recruits following the early signing period

The early signing period gives us an indication of how college football programs are shaping up for the future. The Texas A&M Aggies made their mark in this year's cycle, coming out of the window with the seventh-best class in the country per 247Sports.

The Aggies landed 25 athletes from the class of 2025 and successfully signed all of them on National Signing Day. Coach Mike Elko and company acquired two five-star recruits and 13 four-star prospects.

Texas A&M improved its recruiting this year compared to 2024, when it was ranked No.16 in the country according to 247Sports. Elko was active throughout the season and extended 408 offers to athletes from the 2025 class.

The Aggies went 8-4 this season and will take on the USC Trojans on Dec. 28 in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl.

Texas A&M has early success in the 2026 recruiting cycle

The Aggies have carried their 2025 recruiting form to the 2026 class. Elko has already landed eight commitments from the class of 2026, which ranks second in the country at the moment per 247Sports.

Jordan Carter is leading the way. He committed to the Aggies on Oct. 27, choosing the program over Alabama and Auburn, among others.
