Alijah Arenas made an appearance on "The Youngins Podcast" in a video posted by Swish Cultures on Tuesday. He talked about plenty of topics ranging from his relationship with Tajh Ariza to NBA Open Runs and James Harden, among others.
Host Jordan Richard talked about Harden being uncredited for his community service and the time he visited Arenas at one of his games in Los Angeles. Arenas talked about his relationship with the 10-time NBA All-Star.
"I don't know what he does for Community but for me like like as a person that's the guy I want to be around all day like from sun up sun down," Arenas said. "His personality is amazing, he's a great person, he does like great things for everybody and then for me it was just kind of like almost like a father figure type of guy." (25:22 - 26:06).
He continued to talk about working out with Harden.
"It was always a teaching moment, it was always a fun moment, it was always a learning experience no matter what we did just talking and standing to working out to playing basketball like no matter what," Arenas added.
"It was like we had a workout and then and we had a lift and then a stretch and then we played and then I saw the way he worked out like he works out like a mad man."
Arenas took to his Instagram story to congratulate the three-time NBA Scoring champion after he surpassed Ray Allen for second on the NBA's all-time 3-pointers made list.
"@jharden13 😤," Arenas captioned.
James Harden talks about Alijah Arenas' game
In a clip shared by "The Hoop Spill," on Instagram, James Harden talked about Alijah Arenas having a similar game to him.
"I (saw) Alijah this summer, and he just kind of reminded me of myself in the sense of just playing against pros as a junior in high school, and that's how you get better," Harden said. "You learn the physicality; you learn the skill set and what you've got to get to."
Harden was also spotted at Chatsworth's game against Westchester on Nov. 20.
Alijah Arenas still has one more year of high school before he decides to commit to a college, if he does not reclassify to the Class of 2025.
