Duke freshman star Cooper Flagg had nothing but high praise for five-star Duke signee Cameron Boozer in the short interview video shared on X.com by @mattGilesBD on Wednesday. The freshman was asked what he thinks the Blue Devils are getting in a player like Cameron, and he didn't hold back in his response, describing Boozer as a prototype Duke player.

"I mean, from what I've seen, we've had some pretty good battles in High school, he's an incredible player," Flagg said. "He has such a great feel for the game. That's just a prototype player you like to see at Duke, cuz, he does all the right things, as well as the little things."
"He's such a talent. He makes the right plays, delivers the right passes, and doesn't worry about getting his own. But somehow, he always ends up getting his own," Flagg added.

The interview, which took place on Tuesday night, came right after the No. 4 Blue Devils' impressive 88-65 win over Virginia Tech. Cameron Boozer attended the game.

Both were bitter rivals during Cooper Flag days in high school. Now that Cameron and his brother Cayden Boozer have committed to Duke, there's a good chance Flagg and Cameron will reunite, this time as teammates.

Whether or if this reunion happens hinges on Flagg's decision to stay with the Blue Devils next season, when the Boozer brothers join the squad. This is because he may enter the NBA following his freshman year this season.

What's next for Cameron Boozer?

Cameron Boozer has been crucial for Columbus this season, leading them to an impressive 13-3 record. He will lead the team against Riviera Prep on Jan. 10. They'll be looking to kickstart this year with a win after ending 2024 with two consecutive losses, snapping their impressive 13-game winning streak.

Next season, the Columbus High School star will join the Blue Devils alongside his brother Cayden and two other class of 2025 prospects, who have also committed to Duke. These include four-star power forward Nikolas Khamenia and 6-foot-5 Bellaire High School star Shelton Henderson.
