Keelon Russell, Alabama’s newest quarterback signee, has a unique request for the upcoming EA Sports College Football video game. He wants an accurate representation of his throwing ability, particularly his off-platform throws. Speaking with “SeeHendo,” Russell expressed his desire for the game to capture his strengths as a quarterback.

"Man, I just hope that they give me the right, because I say my all-platform throws is probably one of the best throws in the country," he said. "And I just feel like in a quarterback at an EA level, at the gaming level, that's one of the worst stats for a quarterback. I just feel like that's a stat that has to be high."

When asked to describe himself in one word, Russell confidently replied:

"Confident. I'm very confident. I'm a confident young being. And that's the biggest thing that people gotta understand. When you confident, you can own anything in the world. Everything's possible. I'm confident."

Alabama’s quarterback room for 2025 will feature Russell alongside Ty Simpson and Austin Mack. If current starter Jalen Milroe declares for the NFL after this season, the competition for QB1 will heat up. Milroe had high praise for Keelon Russell.

“He’s a really good player, dynamic,” Milroe shared with On3. “He’s a special cat. There’s a reason why he’s the No. 1 quarterback in the state of Texas, in the country. He’s a big-time recruit because of who is as a person. I’ve been able to meet him a couple of times here at the facility and at the stadium."

Keelon Russell capped off his senior year in remarkable fashion, throwing for 4,177 yards and 55 touchdowns while limiting himself to just five interceptions.

Keelon Russell's confidence is well-founded. Last week, he received national acclaim as the Gatorade National Player of the Year and the Maxwell National High School Player of the Year.

Reflecting on the honor during an interview with "SeeHendo," Russell called it a surreal experience.

"Man, it's a blessing," he said. "Like, just even just talking to my pops about this. Like, after coming from the Elite 11 win, I talked to my pops, he was like, you missing one thing. And one thing only is you haven't showed the world who you are in the pads. And that's where the real dogs come from."

Keelon Russell also expressed excitement about teaming up with Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams.

"When I hit up Ryan Williams on the phone and be like, bro, honestly, I don't care about what nobody says. I don't care about the internet stuff. When I come down to Bema, we're gonna click. I don't care. I don't care. And that's the same with all the other receivers. Like, we're gonna click."

Williams, a five-star recruit, has been electric, recording 72 catches for 1,324 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior.
