The elite point guard from Etiwanda High School, Aliyahna "Puff" Morris, has committed to the California Golden Bears. The Bears emerged victorious in a tightly contested race between Duke, USC, Michigan, Illinois, Harvard and Yale to sign the No. 24-ranked prospect in the Class of 2025.

Morris unleashed her skills in the game against LV Orange in a Border League game this Sunday. Her valuable 32-point contribution saw the IE Eagles win the game 73-64. Soon after the game, the five-star point guard announced her commitment to the Bears on national television.

Announcing her way forward with the California Golden Bears, the 5-foot-5 prodigy from Rancho Cucamonga, CA, couldn't contain her excitement.

“For the next four years, I’ll be attending the University of California, Berkeley,” she exclaimed. “Go Bears!”

"Puff" Morris was a hot target for multiple top colleges across the US; however, she found the Bears to be the best place for her.

“It was really the whole feel," she told On3. “I also liked it being in my home state. I feel like their program fits me best.”

Prior to her commitment to the California Golden Bears, Morris officially visited Yale to evaluate the options at hand. Coach Stan Delus even took to X to appreciate the warm welcome that her PG received at New Haven, Connecticut.

However, she found her perfect program right in the neighborhood.

“It felt really good when I went down for the visit,” Morris said. “Out of all my options, I think it fits me the best. I got to experience the Ivy League and then the Power 5 schools. I think Cal is best for me.”

Aliyahna "Puff" Morris will join a completely revamped roster of the California Golden Bears, who have added multiple top prospects from across the country.
