Basketball fans are awaiting the decision of No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa. The Utah Prep School star is continuing to visit campuses before he announces his commitment.
Dybantsa's father spoke with The Athletic's Brendan Marks and discussed the timeline for his son's decision. He said that he would decide in February to honor Black History Month.
Dybantsa, who has a NIL value of $1.9 million according to On3, last visited the BYU Cougars. Bleacher Report Hoops shared some pictures from his visit, which got plenty of reactions from hoops fans:
Some fans talked about the money the top recruit could receive from BYU.
"They must be offering a fat bag," a fan wrote.
"Can’t lie BYU pictures are 🥶 but I hope he finds his way to chapel thrill," another fan said.
"Gave em 10 mil!! He going BYU," one fan wrote.
Others made it known that they are not in favor of Dybantsa joining the Cougars:
"Looks good in blue. Need Kentucky across the chest tho," one fan said.
"Bro is wasting his time there," another one said.
"This should be Kentucky blue," a fan wrote.
AJ Dybantsa visited BYU along with four-star recruit JJ Mandaquit last weekend. The duo were roommates when they played for Team USA in the U17 World Cup in Turkey.

According to 247Sports, Dybantsa has received 29 offers from top programs across the nation. The Cougars have the highest chance of securing his commitment at 41.7%, followed by Kansas State with 25%, Alabama with 13.3% and North Carolina with 4.2%, per On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine.
