Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry has picked a date to announce his college commitment. The consensus No. 2 defensive lineman in the 2025 class picked Friday to make his college choice known. The prospect from Manchester, Georgia, is recruited actively by top programs including Georgia, Alabama and Texas.

His announcement has triggered reactions from fans across social media, especially on X, with many urging him to announce for their favorite teams. An Alabama fan, BigBama Sims wrote:

“Think we all know it's UGA but ROLL TIDE anyway!!”

A Georgia fan, JordanCamp, appealing to Terry's sentiment as a Georgia native wrote,

“Wish you the best Justus, home is always home. Relationships always matter.”

Another X user, a fan of the Auburn Tigers, HighAubie, expressed hope to see Terry in Auburn colors. They wrote,

“War Eagle! I hope I see you with the Tigers!!!!”

From X user, Isaiah, it was a word of advice for the Manchester High School standout. The fan wrote,

“You're a big time player, and you'll be in the league in a couple of years! Prioritize who can DEVELOP you the best, not who can pay you the most! Follow your heart.”

A Georgia fan, Ohrax, also took the opportunity to make a personal request from Terry, commenting,

“Hey that’s on my birthday! Gonna be a good present seeing you become a dawg.”

Which program is the favorite to land Justus Terry?

The Georgia Bulldogs are the favorites to land Justus Terry. The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder has at least 20 offers, according to 247Sports. However, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and Texas are the programs most associated with defensive linemen.

Terry visited Auburn on Nov. 22. Prior to that, he was at Texas in October, putting the Longhorns firmly in the race to sign him. However, he had visited Alabama, Miami (FL) and Georgia in the summer.

Justus Terry had been to Athens several times before last summer, and many expected him to commit to the Bulldogs. However, he is taking his time before arriving at a decision.

Wherever he chooses to commit come Friday is more likely than not his destination for the next season with the early signing period at hand. His potential addition to Georgia's No. 1 2025 class will be an icing on the cake for Kirby Smart.
