Travis Hunter, the Colorado Buffaloes star player and the Heisman favorite, is regarded as one of the best athletes. The wide receiver/cornerback was a top-ranked prospect coming out of high school and is expected to be a high draft pick in the NFL.
The Georgia native is known for his athleticism and ability to play on offense and defense at an elite level. However, Hunter never followed a proper diet while playing in high school. On Friday, ESPN shared a post detailing Hunter's eating habits.
Sports journalist Mark Schlabach shed light on Hunter's diet in high school.
"Hot (and extra wet) chicken wings, chipotle and tons of candy. He skipped pre game meals and consumed a bag of gummy bears instead." Schlabach said, as per ESPN.
Fans were shocked to learn about Hunter's diet and expressed their opinions in the post's comment section.
"This is why I believe injuries in football have increased. Nothing to do with turf," a fan wrote.
A fan pointed out that Hunter's genetics played a huge role in his lean physique.
"Proof genetics is a major part of top athletes success," one fan wrote.
Travis Hunter played for Collins Hill High School (Suwanee, GA) and had a tremendous start to his professional journey. He was a five-star prospect and had offers from top programs. Although he eventually chose Colorado, the receiver initially committed to Jackson State.
