Bryce Underwood is the No.1 overall prospect from the Class of 2025, according to On3 and 247Sports. However, Rivals.com has the quarterback at No. 2, behind Ohio State signee Tavien St. Clair.
The recruiting website's Instagram account shared a post of St. Clair attending the Cotton Bowl between the Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns on Friday. The five-star quarterback was on the field watching the Ohio State players practice ahead of the game.
"No.1 player in 2025, Tavien St. Clair out here for the Cotton Bowl," read the post's caption.
The post generated a lot of buzz as fans were quick to voice out their opinions regarding the rankings. The majority of the fans believe that Underwood is the No.1 quarterback in the country.
"Bryce underwood clears," one fan said.
"that doesn’t look like underwood lol," another fan said.
"This is NOT Bryce Underwood," one fan said.
However, a few fans were hyped to see the Buckeyes' future quarterback on the field.
"Tavien St. Clair is already making Cotton Bowl history before even stepping on the field!" one fan said.
"He was at the last game too! Locked in," another fan said.
"Makin btown proud!" one fan said.
Tavien St. Clair is ranked No.3 in the country and is the third-best quarterback in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the best overall recruit from the state of Ohio.

Tavien St. Clair, a five-star quarterback from the Class of 2025, pledged his allegiance to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Jun. 21, 2023. He chose the Buckeyes over other top programs such as Florida, LSU, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Alabama, Penn State and Mississippi State.
St. Clair officially became a Buckeye on Dec. 4 and spoke about the program in an interview with Lettermen Row.
"The tradition, the quarterback development," the five-star prospect told Lettermen Row. "Just what’s gonna put me in the best position to go to the NFL."
St. Clair is one of the Buckeyes' 26 signees from the class of 2025. Ohio State's class is ranked No.5 in the country, as per 247Sports. Among the 26 signees, the program managed to land two five-star prospects in St. Clair and Houston native Devin Sanchez.
The Buckeyes are set to play in the NCAA title game after beating the Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl. They will take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Jan. 20.
