"This a whole other kind of BEAST MODE": Basketball coach showers praise for Gilbert Arenas' daughter Hamiley Arenas' performance this season 

Hamiley Arenas, the younger daughter of three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, is emerging as one of the most promising talents in girls' basketball. Her recent performances for the Notre Dame Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles) were praised by West Coast Premier girls Nike EYBL and Team WhyNot Premier coach Maria Mesa.

Mesa took to her Instagram story to share the Notre Dame Varsity Girls Basketball team's stats, highlighting Arenas' contribution to the team.

"Lol i knew my girl was killing, but this is a whole other kind of BEAST MODE, leading every category!!! I see you @hamileyarenas0," she captioned her story.

Hamiley Arenas leads the Sherman Oaks team in points (21.1 ppg), rebounds (15.0), assists (3.3), steals (3.1), blocks (1.4), free throw percentage (74%) and 3-point field goal percentage (17%).

In seven games for Notre Dame, she had 151 points, 23 assists, 105 rebounds, 22 steals and 10 blocks. She opened her Notre Dame career with a double-double in her first game, scoring 27 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in a 75-70 loss against Campbell, while her father Gilbert Arenas watched from the sidelines.

The former Washington Wizards player also took to his Instagram to upload highlights of his daughter's high school debut game.

Notre Dame coach Jena Laolagi also praised the 15-year-old combo guard. She highlighted Hamiley's outstanding skills and progress, noting that she can play positions one through four depending on the team's needs.

Laura Govan never misses to show her appreciation for all her kids, regularly posting highlights of Alijah, Aloni, Izela and Hamiley Arenas on Instagram. She also shared a carousel of highlights of her daughter's 30-point game against Oceanside Pirates on Dec. 30.

Arenas is playing with Notre Dame's new transfers Emily Abramovitch (from Calabasas) and Taylor Ford (from Canyon High).
