Basketball may not be considered an overly physical sport, but it can get very physical, as a Sunday game between RWE and the Diamond Doves on OTE demonstrated. 5'7 RWE point guard Romelo Hill got hit on his face hard during that game, leading him to bust his lip. However, he still finished in double figures.
Romelo Hill finished with 10 points, two assists, four rebounds, and two steals, making three of his shots from behind the arc. Some in the comments compared him to famous rapper Tyga, especially after he busted his lip.
"Thought this was Tyga 😂😂😂," joked one commenter.
"Bro look like tyga," another person added.
"Why tf did i think that was tyga💀," said another person.
Meanwhile, others were talking more about his short stature. Others, on the other hand, were talking about him busting his lip in the game again.
"yo i actually never notice how short he looks😭he looks 6’1 every other time i see him but here he looks so much shorter," another commenter pointed out.
"Romelo has 3 busted lips this season," joked another commenter.
"Bro knew when he busted his lips, he had to go off😂😂," said another person.
RWE defeated the Diamond Doves during that game last Sunday with a final score of 98-95. Jasper Johnson led RWE in that win with a double-double of 23 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, and four steals. Jackson McVey added 19 points and nine rebounds, while Taylen Kinney had 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Five players were in double figures for RWE during the game.
Romelo Hill and RWE are now on a 5-game winning streak after beating Diamond Doves
After that close win against Diamond Doves, RWE now have a 7-4 record and have steadily improved. The team is now on a five-game winning streak, with its last loss on Dec. 8 against Eli Ellis and the YNG Dreamerz. Before this, RWE had a 2-4 record.
So far in the season, Romelo Hill averaged 3.9 points per game, along with 2.2 assists and 1.4 rebounds. He has scored in double digits twice already this season, including during that win against Diamond Doves. He also dropped 10 during that win against Blue Checks on Dec. 15, which kicked off that five-game winning streak.
