AJ Dybantsa's Utah Prep Athletes were in Phoenix, Arizona for Hoophall West, with the team making a successful debut against the Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy Eagles on Saturday. The BYU signee was impressive in the 80-63 win, recording a double-double against the Eagles.

The No. 1 ranked overall from the Class of 2025 had 23 points on 7 of 12 shooting, with 10 rebounds.

Following his performance, many fans claimed he was now too good to just play in high school. Others say he is proudly representing his hometown of Brockton, Massachusetts.

"Just too good for high school basketball lol," said one commenter.
"No reason to be only shooting 12 shots in high school😂" said another person.
"AJ Holding It Down For Brockton.." said one fan.

Meanwhile, others were comparing his style of play to various NBA players, be they retired or are still playing.

"Call me crazy but the boa might be KD & Bron rolled into one," claimed one commenter.
"Young TMac." another commenter added.
"Shades of T Mac are crazy," replied another person.

The win over Oak Cliff Faith Family extends Utah Prep's winning streak to six, with victories over nationally ranked opponents such as Brewster Academy National and Oak Hill Academy. Both these wins happened during last month's Iolani Classic in Hawaii where Utah Prep came out as the tournament's champions.

The last time Utah Prep lost was against No. 3 ranked Darryn Peterson and AJ Dybantsa's former team, Prolific Prep. It was a 76-70 loss and happened on Dec. 8. The team also has some big wins against other nationally ranked schools such as Accelerated Prep, Highland High School and Link Academy.

AJ Dybantsa and Utah Prep to take on Jermaine O'Neal Jr., Jaden Toombs and Dynamic Prep next

That seventh straight win might be more difficult to get, though, as Utah Prep's next opponent will be Dynamic Prep, led by its "Dynamic Duo" of four-stars Jaden Toombs and Jermaine O'Neal Jr. The team is on an 11-game winning streak, with a 20-3 record.

The duel to watch will be between small forwards, with Jermaine O'Neal Jr. tasked with containing AJ Dybantsa. The game will take place on January 10, as part of the Iverson Classic in New Jersey.
