Wynnewood, Pennsylvania native Logyn Greer has made her commitment to JR Payne's Colorado Buffaloes. She is ranked No. 80 on the ESPN HoopGurlz top 100 for the 2025 class.
Greer confirmed her commitment to the Buffaloes on her Instagram page. The 6'3" forward chose Colorado over offers from programs such as West Virginia and Clemson.
During an interview with On3, Logyn Greer talked about why she chose the Buffaloes, commending their "play style" and "family atmosphere."
“I’d say it was the play style and the family atmosphere,” Greer told On3. “I just felt like I was very comfortable there … I’d say just the atmosphere and the school itself is just beautiful, being around all the mountains and everything. I just think that the atmosphere is very nice.”
She visited Colorado in late September and had an amazing rapport with the coaching staff. Greer also talked about how well she would fit in the playstyle:
“It’s like a read-and-react offense,” Greer said. “It’s like a motion, Princeton offense. I feel like I fit very well with that. I’ll be at that elbow area or the wing area. I feel very comfortable with those spots.
“They recruited me about two years ago and they were just very consistent and persistent,” Greer said. “I felt very wanted and needed there.”
Greer had plenty of offers from across the nation but only Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State, Cal, George Mason and Ole Miss made her Top 10.
What does Logyn Greer's recruitment mean for Colorado?
In Feb., Logyn Greer scored her 1000th point in high school basketball to lead Friends' Central School to the finals of the PAISAA championship.
While little is known of her latest stats, she has received high praise from the 247Sports' Director of Scouting, women's basketball, Brandon Clay:
"Greer has the length, physical tools and bloodline to be a contributor at the collegiate level for a NCAA Tournament caliber program. As Greer continues to fill out physically with strength training and development, her game still has another level to grow.
"In that regard, Greer is the type of combo forward who could excel her high school projection once she's surrounded by high-level players on a daily basis."
The Buffaloes knocked out Oregon in the first round of the Pac-12 women's tournament but were defeated by Oregon State in the quarterfinals last season. With a stronger roster, how far do you think they will go this season?
