Top 3 schools in the mix for Dakorien Moore
No. 3: Oregon
The Oregon Ducks have emerged as top contenders for Dakorien Moore's commitment. Moore has visited Eugene several times and feels comfortable with coach Dan Lanning. Moore visited Oregon officially on June 21.
“I love how open I can be when I’m out there,” Moore told On3. “Their uniforms and their style, they’re just different. It’s unique, and it’s not really comparable to any other school I’m looking at,"
"I just think they have great coaches in general. Coach Lanning knows how to judge people, and he is a good judge of character. And he’s really good at building relationships and getting people to trust him," he added.
No. 2: Ohio State
Known for building an impressive receiver room, Ohio State has retained top talent and excelled in recruiting. Dakorien Moore expressed his admiration for the Buckeyes, saying:
“I love how competitive they are. That was the first thing I noticed when I stepped foot on campus. I could just feel the energy when I walked through the facility. Then after watching practice, I saw everybody have the same focus."
This offseason, they secured the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, including several top prospects across various positions.
"They all locked in on football and want to win. They’re a big family, and it’s a big city out there."
No. 1: Texas
The Texas Longhorns have emerged as front-runners for Moore’s commitment. Following his decommitment from LSU, the On3 RPM quickly favored the Longhorns. Inside Texas’ Eric Nahlin predicts Texas with 85 percent confidence.
Dakorien Moore shared his thoughts on Texas to On3:
“It’s always going to be home. It’s close to family, so that’s one major thing it could come down to when I’m thinking about Texas. They’ve developed players since they pulled them in, and even players that haven’t been so big out of high school.
“I love everything about Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas. They don’t cut any corners. We saw practice recently, that was really exciting. That showed us Texas is coming to play. They’re ready to play with the big boys in the SEC.”
As Dakorien Moore prepares to make his commitment, Ohio State, Texas and Oregon remain the top contenders. Each school offers unique advantages that could sway his decision.
