Top 5 performers during Border League day 1

4) Miikka Muurinen, Power Forward, AZ Compass, Class of 2026

Unlike the others on the list, Finnish phenom Miikka Muurinen was on the losing side, bowing out to the Boozer twins and the Explorers in the opening game. However, he did give Cameron Boozer, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the Class of 2025, a run for his money.

The 4-star forward ranked No. 12 in the Class of 2026, matched up against Boozer in his Border League opener, but still managed to put up solid numbers, with 16 points and 5 rebounds.

4) Latrell Almond, Center, Men of Justice, Class of 2026

Latrell Almond and the Men of Justice met SoCal Academy in Las Vegas as part of Pool A. The 4-star prospect from Richmond, Virginia led his team to victory during day one of the Border League with a double-double of 24 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. He was able to use his length and footwork to dominate the game on both ends of the court.

He is currently ranked No. 43 for the Class of 2026 by On3, with offers from VCU, Virginia, Georgetown, NC State and more.

3) AJ Dybantsa, Small Forward, Utah Prep, Class of 2025

The top prospect from the Class of 2025 demonstrated why he is one of the best high school players out there by leading Utah Prep to a dominating win over LV Orange during his Border League opener, 76-54. He also had a double-double with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists.

This was just a warmup though, as Dybantsa is getting ready for a day 3 showdown with the No. 2 prospect from his class, Cameron Boozer and the Explorers on Sunday.

2) Jaxon Richardson, Small Forward, Explorers, Class of 2026

He might be teammates with two 5-stars in the Boozer twins, but 4-star recruit Jaxon Richardson more than held his own during the win against Muurinen and AZ Compass.

The small forward had 24 points and 7 rebounds during the win, but his gameplay that is not recorded in the stat sheets has impressed many, as he got things done on defense and did well offensively.

1) Cameron Boozer, Power Forward, Class of 2025

Cam Boozer has been a monster at the Border League so far, posting a double-double with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists, and he was doing it against another top power forward.

The 5-star Duke commit has dominated the paint and showed off his passing game. He was also dominant on the defensive end, helping lock down the paint.
