Georgia has solidified its reputation as a hub for elite high school football talent, consistently producing some of the nation’s top recruits. The class of 2025 is no exception, featuring standout athletes who have already made waves with their commitments.
Top six college football signees from Georgia:
#1. Elijah Griffin – Defensive Lineman (Georgia)
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 285 pounds, Elijah Griffin hails from Savannah Christian Preparatory School. He committed to Georgia on Oct. 18.
As a freshman in 2021, he logged an impressive 69 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and five quarterback hurries. His athleticism shone at the National Combine, where he posted a 5.1-second 40-yard dash and a remarkable 35-inch vertical leap.
#2. Isaiah Gibson – Edge Rusher (Georgia)
Isaiah Gibson, rated as the top edge rusher in the nation, solidified his pledge to Georgia after committing in June 2024.
He is ranked as the No. 2 player in Georgia and No. 9 nationally by 247Sports composite rankings. Adam Irvins, 247Sports’ Director of Scouting, praised Gibson’s frame and raw athleticism, making him an invaluable asset for Georgia:
“Long-limbed pass rusher that can close on quarterbacks. On the lighter side at this stage and lacks requisite play strength, but owns favorable features with a 7-foot wingspan and 10-inch hands on a frame that’s pushing 6-foot-4."
#3. Justus Terry – Defensive Lineman (Texas)
Justus Terry’s recruitment journey has been one of the most eventful in the 2025 class. Originally committed to Georgia in early 2023, the 6-foot-5, 275-pound lineman later flipped to USC in March 2024 before eventually signing with Texas on Dec. 6.
#4. Zayden Walker – Outside Linebacker (Georgia)
Zayden Walker, the skillful and dexterous sportsman from Ellaville, in fact, became a star on both attack and defense for Schley High School. At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, Walker’s command as an outside linebacker cannot be denied.
Over three high school seasons, he racked up more than 27 tackles for loss and 10 sacks, showcasing his ability to disrupt opposing offenses.
#5. Elyiss Williams – Tight End (Georgia)
At 6-foot-7 and 235 pounds, Elyiss Williams is a game-changing tight end from Camden County High School. Signed with Georgia in April 2023, Williams has drawn comparisons to some of the NFL’s elite tight ends.
Camden County coach Travis Roland lauded Williams, calling him “the best player in the country.”
“You’re getting the best player in the country,” Roland said, adding, “I know there are some other players out there. Quarterbacks and all that. I’m telling you right now you’re getting the best player in the country. You are getting your next first-round tight end and next first-round draft pick tight end.”
#6. Julian Lewis – Quarterback (Colorado)
Julian Lewis made headlines when he flipped his commitment from USC to Colorado, signing with the Buffaloes on Dec. 4. Colorado coach Deion Sanders couldn’t contain his excitement, describing Lewis as “everything that we desire in a quarterback.”
"He’s everything that we desire in a quarterback," Sanders said, adding, "He’s smart, he could throw, make, every throw. He has pocket awareness, pocket presence. He is a darn leader, but most of all, he’s a winner. People forget that category when you look at the quarterback."
Lewis’ high school career was nothing short of legendary. He finished with 11,010 passing yards and 144 touchdowns, ranking seventh and fifth all-time in Georgia’s history, respectively.
