Bryce Underwood, the No.1 quarterback in the country from the Class of 2025, had many suitors. The Michigan signee after flipping from LSU also received offers from Michigan State, Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, Penn State, Miami, Florida, Oregon and Georgia.
Another team that extended an offer to the five-star prospect is the Colorado Buffaloes. The Deion Sanders-led program had eyes on the 6-foot-4 quarterback since September last year when he visited the program after the Buffs' win over TCU.
However, Colorado's pursuit fizzled out and Underwood committed to LSU in January. He flipped to the Wolverines on Nov. 21. He was asked about his visit to Colorado during a Monday interview on the "Kickin It With Dee" podcast.
The clip went viral on social media, with fans expressing their opinions. Colorado fans urged Underwood to consider joining Colorado in the future, despite the Buffs signing five-star quarterback Julian Lewis from the class.
"Transfer to Colorado after JuJu is done. We'll need a QB in about 3 years," one fan said.
"could’ve been a buff," another fan commented.
"Boy want to play in the ghetto playground…" another fan wrote.
Underwood's claim of Colorado's atmosphere being the best in the country was met with ridicule by some.
"Colorado doesn’t have the craziest atmosphere. Stop…" one fan wrote.
"He’s clearly never been anywhere down south… LSU, Tennessee, UGA, etc…" another fan said.
"Anything for clicks man," another fan commented.
Bryce Underwood visited Boulder for an unofficial visit on Sept. 16, 2023, and had the program on the top of his early shortlist.
