On Saturday, New Jersey powerhouse team Morris Catholic took a trip to Springfield, Massachusetts, to face the No. 3 Archbishop Mitty for this year's Hoophall Classic. Mia and Mya Pauldo, the Pauldo Twins, led the team to a big 60–57 win.
The win now puts Morris Catholic to a 12-0 record, with Mia and Mya Pauldo leading the team to that unbeaten record. Because of the win, Morris Catholic has now won 52 of its last 53 games.
Mia Pauldo had 17 points and seven assists, while Mya had 16 points. The two combined for 33 points. Teammate Daniella Matus also had 16 points in the game, 12 of which came from behind the arc.
Mia and Mya Pauldo committed to Tennessee in July and are part of the Class of 2025. Mia Pauldo is rated a five-star by 247Sports Composite, being its No. 13 overall and No. 3 point guard, as well as the No. 1 overall in New Jersey.
Meanwhile, twin sister Mya Pauldo is a consensus four-star prospect and No. 53 overall. She is the No. 15 shooting guard and the No. 2 overall in New Jersey. Both sisters are social media stars with tens of thousands of followers online.
Which team will end the twin backcourt of Mia and Mya Pauldo and Morris Catholic's undefeated run?
With Morris Catholic beating one of the best teams in the country right now, the question is, which team can beat Mia and Mya Pauldo and the rest of the Crusaders?
The next team that gets a crack at them will be George School on Monday. However, at a 3-5 record, the Crusaders are expected to get another dominant win. After that comes a road game at Bayonne on Wednesday, and at 7-2, they may be able to challenge the Crusaders.
Florida's DME Academy Lakers may be more known for their boys' basketball program, but the girls are not quite bad with a 17-3 record. They might finally end Morris Catholic's long unbeaten streak on Friday.
The next schools aiming to stop Mia and Mya Pauldo will be St. John-Vianney on Jan. 26, followed by Friends' Central on Jan. 29. They will kick off February against Franklin High School on Feb. 5.
