Three-star linebacker Anthony Kruah flipped his commitment from North Carolina to Georgia on Saturday. The standout from Marietta High School in Georgia had been committed to the Tar Heels since April.

Kirby Smart's program offered him a spot in May, and since then, Kruah has been drawn to the idea of playing in his home state. He opened up to Dawgs247 about the decision, saying:

"This is definitely where I want to be. UNC wasn't in the best place. I've just been talking with my parents and they've been feeling Georgia too, so I just put 1 and 2 together, and you know what? Let's make Georgia home."

Kruah has visited Athens several times, including an official visit in June and additional visits during games against Auburn and Mississippi State this season. These visits boosted his comfort with the school.

“I feel as though Uga is my real home great culture, great staff, great role models, and great development,” Kruah told DawgNation. “Doesn’t get any better than that, man, parents love Uga, so that makes it feel even better.”

Kruah's relationship with Bulldogs linebacker coach Glenn Schumann played a big role.

“We built a strong connection,” Kruah told On3. "Coach Schumann is a smart football coach and we talk a lot about football, but we can talk about other things too. He is a great guy that I know can help me. It doesn’t get better than that.”

Anthony Kruah is a versatile athlete, playing also as a defensive end, quarterback, running back, tight end and wide receiver this fall. He is ranked by the On3 Industry Rankings as the No. 481 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 52 linebacker in the 2025 class and the No. 60 recruit in Georgia.

Georgia recruiting class update following Anthony Kruah's commitment

With the addition of Anthony Kruah, Georgia now has 24 commitments for the 2025 recruiting cycle. This class is currently ranked third in the nation, just behind Alabama and Ohio State.

Kruah joins Zayden Walker as an inside linebacker in the class, which also features five-star prospects like defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, edge rusher Isaiah Gibson and Walker.

However, Smart and his coaching staff are far from done. Georgia Tech commit Rasean Dinkins and Tennessee commit Christian Gass are flip targets for the Bulldogs' 2025 class. Five-star plus+ defensive lineman Justus Terry also remains a top priority for the cycle.
