Marcus Jackson, the four-star power forward from Compass Prep High School, had a terrific day at the Under Armour training camp. The 6-foot-7 athlete from Chandler, Arizona, is one of the best recruits from the class of 2025.
SLAM HS Hoops took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video of Jackson from the camp, where he was balling out. The four-star prospect showed fantastic skills throughout the game playing for Team Thrill. His highlights included dunks, blocks and multiple 3-pointers.
Jackson has received offers from Georgetown, Illinois and Maryland so far. Although there are no predictions for his eventual landing spots, it is safe to say that the 6-foot-7 power forward will make any team he goes to better.
The power forward is ranked No. 155 nationally and is the 31st-best player in his class, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the eighth-best overall prospect from the state of Arizona.
Marcus Jackson shed light on his recruitment
The four-star power forward has constantly improved his game. He is one of the best prospects from his class and has been on the radar of some of the top schools in the country.
He spoke about his recruitment and his preparation in an interview back in November last year.
"I’ve been in the gym lately with the coaching staff and they’ve been getting me right," Jackson said, as per 247Sports. "We come in a lot at 6am and after practice we put in hard work. We’ve been working on jump shots, and rebounding with two hands because I wasn’t doing a good job on that. I’ve also been working on getting my teammates involved more and passing the ball well."
He also shed light on his visits to some of the top schools in the country.
"Everything is going fine as of right now," the 6-foot-7 forward said. "I did a visit to ECU and will be doing a lot of unofficial visits. I’ll also take a couple official visits, too. Providence, Missouri and few others are recruiting me right now. The other schools I’d want to visit will be a surprise."
Marcus Jackson is ranked as the 129th-best prospect in the country, according to 247Sports. He is the sixth-best overall prospect from Arizona. Other schools interested in the power forward include Auburn, Arizona State, Georgetown and Illinois.
