No. 15 ranked Jalen Haralson is undoubtedly one of the best high school basketball players in the country. He proved it once again as his team, La Lumiere, took on Sunrise Christian Academy on Thursday for the opening game for the LaPorte Invitational in Indiana.The 5-star small forward dropped 23 points in his team's 64-58 loss.

Sunrise Christian Academy led by 16 points during halftime, but Jalen Haralson-led La Lumiere came close to overturning the lead. However, the Kansas-based Sunrise Christian managed to stave off the local Indiana team.

Jalen Haralson, who has already committed to Notre Dame, almost had a double-double during the game, having notched up nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Darius Adams added 22 points, three rebounds and one assist for La Lumiere, with the two being the only ones in double figures for the team.

Meanwhile, Aidan Chronister led Sunrise Christian Academy with 17 points, three rebounds and one steal, while Ivan Juric had a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and one assist. Jacob Walker added 10 points, five rebounds, seven assists and three steals for the winning team.

La Lumiere still has a slew of games coming its way during the La Porte Invitational. Jalen Haralson and crew will take on CIA Bella Vista on Friday and Brewster Academy on Sunday.

Jalen Haralson and La Lumiere to take on New York powerhouse Long Island Lutheran during the Hoophall Classic

After playing at the La Porte Invitational in their home state of Indiana, Jalen Haralson and La Lumiere are set to travel to the home of the Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, Massachusetts. They will be one of the top teams competing at the Hoophall Classic, considered one of high school basketball's most prestigious events.

The team is scheduled to take on Utah's Wasatch Academy on Jan. 18. However, their big challenge is New York's Long Island Lutheran, with the showdown scheduled on Monday, Jan. 20.

Long Island Lutheran, or LuHi, will feature a stacked roster, led by the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan Anthony, who has been sidelined since his team's season opener on Nov. 30.

Anthony will be backed up by five-star 2026 prospect Dylan Mingo and his older brother, four-star Penn State commit Kayden Mingo, as well as four-star Nigel James.
