Inglewood lost 110-92 to Rosevelt in their clash last Friday, but Inglewood's 6-foot-2 combo guard Jason Crowe Jr. had a night to remember as he dropped 41 points. The five-star prospect, who is the No.1 ranked combo guard in the on3 Class of 2026 rankings, accounted for 44.5% of the team's points and shot a blistering 13-of-19 from the field in the game.
The performance against Rosevelt was the third consecutive time Crowe Jr. would score over a third of Inglewood’s points in a game.
On Saturday, the Home Team Hoops account on Instagram posted a sizzle reel of Crowe Jr.'s amazing game.
Crow Jr. didn’t do all on his own, though, as Danaus Cockrell also recorded 23 points, five assists and five rebounds.
However, the best player of the night was Brayden Burries. Burries recorded a double-double, dropping 56 points and 16 rebounds to help Rosevelt record their third consecutive win and end Inglewood’s five-game winning streak.
Burries is the No. 1 ranked combo guard in the Class of 2005 and is the No. 12-ranked prospect overall, as per on3. He also had the help of Myles Walkers, who dropped 14 points, seven assists and six rebounds in the game.
The win improved Rosevelt’s record this season to 7-1, while Inglewood is now 7-2 after they beat Kings/Drew Golden Eagles 95-57 last Saturday. As for Rosevelt, they return to action against St. Augustine on Wednesday.
Jason Crowe Jr. getting mentored by NBA stars Jayson Tatum, Russell Westbrook
While Crowe Jr. might have been on the losing side last Friday, the Sentinels combo guard’s performance is already catching the eye of colleges ahead of the 2026 recruit.
In his freshman year, Crowe Jr. averaged 36.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 3.56 steals per game. He built on that in his sophomore year, averaging 37.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5,8 assists and 3.9 steals per game.
The Lynwood California native has already received offers from UCLA, USC, Long Beach State, Georgia Tech and New Mexico State.
He also shared on Paul Pierce's "Truth Lounge" podcast in November that he receives advice from NBA stars Jayson Tatum and Russell Westbrook.
"Jayson Tatum. I talk to him here and there. He always gives me pointers and stuff like that. I text him every couple days and stuff like that. And then obviously Westbrook, playing for his program, we talk very often, just give me pointers and stuff like that and so that's it." (32:53 - 33:11)
It remains to be seen which college he ends up in, but Crowe Jr. has a good relationship with Kentucky’s staff. As per KSR, Kentucky is seriously interested in recruiting Crowe Jr, with his father Jason Crowe Sr excited to see him commit to the school.
