Jerzy Robinson, On3's No. 3 overall prospect in the Class of 2026, excelled in Sierra Canyon's 78-25 win against Marlborough on Thursday. The 6-foot-1 guard scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed five rebounds, helping extend the Trailblazers' winning streak to 25 games.
Leia Edwards and Jalen Samuel also made notable contributions, scoring 11 and eight points, respectively.
Robinson's 34-point performance followed a game where she scored 33 points, grabbed nine rebounds and recorded four steals in Sierra Canyon's win over Notre Dame on Tuesday. The Chatsworth, California, native also excelled against Louisville last Friday, dropping 39 points, 10 rebounds and six steals.
The Trailblazers face Harvard-Westlake on Saturday before hosting them again four days later. After those games, Sierra Canyon will play Chaminade on Jan. 31 and face Louisville again on Feb. 1. The Trailblazers will conclude their home schedule against Notre Dame on Feb. 5, which will also be senior night.
Jerzy Robinson is motivated to stay at the top
Robinson’s profile has been on the rise, thanks to her on-court performances for the Trailblazers this season. In an interview with MADE Hoops in December, the 6-foot-1 combo guard talked about maintaining her status as one of the top players in her class.
“The hardest thing about being a top-ranked recruit is maintaining it. You know it’s hard to get there, but it’s even harder to stay at the top,” Robinson said. (4:38).
“So, just making sure you stay motivated, putting in the work, staying in the lab. You know it comes with pressure, but pressure is a privilege. So, you know that you are the pressure, so you take care of it.”
The five-star combo guard, who attends the same high school as Bryce James, was nominated for the 2024 USA Basketball 5-on-5 Female Athlete of the Year award alongside Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, A’ja Wilson and Joyce Edwards.
She is among the most popular high school prospects, with over 60,000 followers on Instagram.
