Five-star Arkansas Razorbacks signee Meleek Thomas is once again in the spotlight after he delivered an impressive 32 points in the City Reapers Tuesday's win against Colorado Prep at the Tarkanian Classic. In a short video clip that highlights his performance in that particular match, the 18-year-old shooting guard is seen in action, effortlessly weaving through players, sinking buckets and scoring threes.
The game, which ended in an 81-63 victory, was quite a comfortable outing for the City Reapers as they outscored Colorado Prep in every quarter. Their dominant display was especially evident in the first quarter when they led Colorado Prep by eleven points.
By the end of the second quarter, they had extended it to a 16-point lead. Maleek's output was particularly crucial in the first half of the game, as he delivered 22 of the total 32 points he scored that game.
While City Reapers also outscored Colorado Prep in the second half of the game, it was a more closely contested affair relative to the first half. City Reapers only led by one point in the third and fourth quarters. With 12 points scored in the second half, Meleek Thomas finished the game with an impressive 32 points, four assists, and two steals.
On the other end of the court, Colorado Prep's Josiah Sanders also gave quite an impressive performance, scoring 21 points, two assists and four rebounds. Unfortunately, his efforts couldn't get his team a win, as it was clearly overshadowed by Meleek's brilliance.
