Head coach Hugh Freeze took center stage in the compilation, sending a warm message directly to Henderson.

"This is Coach Freeze here at Auburn. I wanted to take the time out today to wish you a happy birthday. I hope you feel celebrated and loved by all of those close and dear to you. Know that you're loved here at Auburn," he said in the video.

Auburn’s defensive coordinator, Coach DJ Durkin, also added his birthday wishes, saying:

Henderson, who flipped his commitment from Penn State to Auburn on June 21, 2024, ranks as the No. 113 overall prospect and the No. 8 running back for the 2025 class, according to 247Sports Composite.

“Auburn is home,” he told Auburn Live. “I really appreciate Penn State and I love it up there and their coaches, but Auburn is home. It always has been.”

Alvin Henderson expressed confidence in Auburn’s future, especially in their rivalry with Alabama, saying:

“Like I tell everybody, these next 2-3 years, Auburn will be smacking Bama because we are going to be able to get the recruits here,” he added.

Alvin Henderson sets a new AHSAA record in historic game

Auburn's 2024 four-star running back commit and Elba High School athlete, Alvin Henderson, tied the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) record with nine rushing touchdowns in a single game. He did so in a thrilling 80-78 four-overtime loss against McKenzie High School.

In addition to his touchdowns, Henderson tallied three two-point conversions, setting a new AHSAA record with 60 total points by an individual in a game. His efforts contributed to the 158 combined points, the most ever in an Alabama high school football game.

The record for the most touchdowns for a single game of rushing (nine) was previously broken by Brayden Kyle in 2021.

Henderson made 41 rushing attempts for 389 yards with a 9.5-yard average per carry. His performance made him the Extra Point Player of the Week.
