Carmelo Anthony was one of the best basketball players of his generation, and his son, Kiyan Anthony, is following in his father's footsteps. Kiyan, who is a top-50 recruit and a four-star guard from Long Island Lutheran, dropped 25 points against the PSA Cardinals at the Nike EYBL on Friday night at a gym in Westfield. Carmelo Anthony was there to watch his son hoop against the Cardinals.
Carmelo and Kiyan's mother, La La Anthony, were on the sidelines cheering for their son. So far this season, Kiyan Anthony is averaging 19.0 points per game, which ranks him in the top 15 in the Nike EYBL. The dynamic 6-foot-5 guard is ranked 39th in the 247Sports Composite and is currently the top-ranked player in New York in his class.

The NBA's all-time top scorer, LeBron James, was also at the tournament to watch his youngest, Bryce James, play for Team SFG. The top-ranked sophomore, Tyran Stokes, also balled out for his team on Friday night.
Carmelo Anthony enjoys the New York Knicks' Game 5 win with his son, Kiyan Anthony
Kiyan Anthony was with his father, Carmelo Anthony, at Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks dismantle the Indiana Pacers 121-91 in Game 5 of their ongoing Eastern Conference Semifinal series. Carmelo posted a celebratory picture with Kiyan Anthony after the game.
The Garden was full of celebrities on Tuesday. Billie Eilish, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Spike Lee and Jennifer Hudson were among the star-studded front row. It was a good outing for the Knicks faithful, as the team, behind a rampant Jalen Brunson, broke the tie and took home the win in a crucial game. The Pacers, however, came back in Game 6 in Indiana to send the series to a decider at MSG on Sunday.
Following the game, Carmelo shared a celebratory photo of himself with his son on social media, which has since gone viral due to the support of Knicks fans. Carmelo played for the New York-based team for seven seasons, and they made the playoffs three times. Although Carmelo played well for the Knicks, the team never achieved major success with him as their best player. He will want Brunson to lead the Knicks to the promised land this season.
