After a few hectic weeks of circuit basketball, Kiyan Anthony enjoyed his summer vacation in Japan with his mother, La La Anthony. The television personality and actress had previously shared snaps from their trip.

On Monday, La La posted a video of a short car karaoke session of the mother-son duo belting out "Can You Stand The Rain" by New Edition. She wrote in the caption:

"He’s bacckkkk 😂😂 car karaoke with @kiyananthony Tokyo edition…."

Here is the video of Kiyan and La La Anthony singing together:

Kiyan Anthony has been drawing much attention with his incredible performances in the Nike EYBL during the summer. He averaged 28.5 points per contest during the NBPA Top 100 Camp and also had a standout 40-point performance at the PIT in July when he went 15 for 19 from the floor.

With his rise in popularity on social media, La La Anthony is taking care to remind him about the negative effects of fame and tips on navigating it. In a March exclusive with People Magazine, she said:

"It makes me so proud. Since I do know it, I'm able to kind of talk him through it, make sure he understands. And he's so calm and humble and just a really great kid."
"Don't listen to negative comments. Just do what makes you happy," La La said about her advice to Kiyan. "Just quiet the outside noise. I always tell him, 'Quiet the outside noise. It's not important.'"

Kiyan Anthony narrows down his college choices to six schools

After weeks of speculation, Kiyan Anthony released the list of his top six schools last week. It included Rutgers, Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, USC and his father Carmelo Anthony's former team, Syracuse Orange.

While many have predicted that he would follow in his father's footsteps, Kiyan is more focused on the team culture and staff.

“I’m looking for good coaching, and I want to play for a good team,” he said. “I want to win. I feel like all the schools that I am talking to have a winning culture. I’ll want to go somewhere that is family-oriented too."

Meanwhile, Carmelo has been clear about his intentions for his son. While he does not have a specific destination in mind, he is pushing for his son to avoid the one-and-done route.

“My son is going to college. I don't even preach one and done to him. We’re not even playing that game because I don't even want you to start thinking that right now. You start short cutting s**t and you start rushing s**t, we ain't rushing nothing,” Melo said on his '7 PM in Brooklyn' podcast in February.

Kiyan Anthony is set to play his senior season at Long Island Lutheran. He will announce his chosen destination before the season begins in November.
