The five-star recruit from the Class of 2026, Tajh Ariza, and NBA Champion Trevor Ariza are among the most famous father-son basketball duos. Tajh ranks seventh in the 2026 ESPN 60 Recruiting Database.

As a proud father, the 2009 NBA champion shared highlights of the Westchester High School senior as he displayed a dominant performance for Formula Elite. Check out the highlights below:

Ariza performed pretty sick handles, converting 3s from beyond the arc off the bounce with defenders all over him. He also converted alley-oops, forced turnovers and made catch-and-shoot opportunities.

While the 17-year-old has a long way to go before he starts playing professionally, he talked about having his "own name" in an interview with Slam Online.

“I gotta keep putting in work every day,” Tajh told Slam Online. “You know, my dad [had a] great career, but I want to have my own name and show people like, 'Oh, I want to be like him, you know?' So I just gotta keep working so I can get there.”

The Playa Del Rey, California native averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest in the Nike EYBL E15 Circuit and 5.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in his appearances at the Nike EYBL 17U Circuit for Team Why Not.

Which college could Tajh Ariza commit to?

With one year left before starting his collegiate career, Ariza has been approached by plenty of colleges. He has received offers from the Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans on Dec. 5, 2022.

Next year, Ariza got offers from the UCLA Bruins on Feb. 3, the Kansas Jayhawks, Arizona State Sun Devils and UNLV on Dec. 21. In 2024, the Arkansas Razorbacks sent him an offer on Jan. 10, the Kentucky Wildcats sent an offer on Sept. 11, and the Kansas Wildcats on Sep. 24.

According to On3, the USC Trojans have the best chance of acquiring Ariza, with a 17.4% probability. The UCLA Bruins are next, with a 15.2% probability, followed by the UNLV Rebels with a 13% chance, and Arizona State, Kansas, Washington, Arkansas, and Kentucky with a 10.9% chance each.

Do you think Tajh Ariza will start his collegiate career at the USC Trojans or will he follow his father and join UCLA?
