Rutgers freshman Dylan Harper had a major showing during the loss against St. John’s. Harper had 20 points, one assist, four rebounds and a steal but couldn’t deny a 91-85 loss. But things were not as gloomy after the game as a video surfaced on the internet that caught the basketball community’s attention.

The 6-foot-6 guard drew praise from St. John's coach Rick Pitino, who compared his mature approach and style of play to that of the legendary Walt Frazier. His hooping mixtape was uploaded by Slam High School’s official YouTube channel.

Harper's shooting efficiency stood out (50% from the field, including making 2 of 6 from beyond the arc). His ability to consistently convert contested shots, including a sequence where he scored six consecutive points, was something of an early glare of his long-term potential.
