Lastly, Sierra Canyon point guard Gavin Hightower wrapped the session while sharing one of his secrets:
“I sometimes listen to country music before our games.”
The unexpected revelation drew shocked expressions and teasing from his teammates. While Bryce James enjoys perfect chemistry with his teammates, Sierra Canyon continues its winning streak this season. The Trailblazers are 10-2 this season, losing only to Orem and Long Island Lutheran.
Has Bryce James recovered from his injury?
Bryce James missed several key games this season owing to a possible injury. One game that he missed that drew attention amongst fans was the Trailblazers' game against Kiyan Anthony and his Long Island Lutheran.
“This has got to be made up, because both legends’ kids that are about to come up on the big stage after this year are both not playing, which is crazy to me 😂,” one fan commented on an Instagram post about the game.
James seems to have recovered from his injury. The 17-year-old finally made his senior season debut against Millikan High School on Saturday. The Trailblazers registered a massive 87-33 win, and Bryce James contributed with a precise block and two 3-pointers. The youngster is now expected to appear in all of Sierra Canyon's upcoming games.
The Trailblazers will be facing one of the heavyweights of high school basketball, Notre Dame featuring the No. 1 recruit in the 2026 class, Tyran Stokes in January. They will surely want James to be at his best for this matchup.
