Besides his on-court skills, LeBron James's son, Bryce James, has a whole other side that is fun, quirky, and adventurous. Whether it’s his spot-on imitation of his father or his surprising love for pickle juice, Sierra Canyon’s standout has been stealing the spotlight. This time, James captivated fans with his dance moves.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard, who announced his commitment to the powerhouse Arizona Wildcats on January 1, appeared to be all relaxed and enjoying a fun time in a TikTok video uploaded last week. James can be seen executing flawless dance moves. He captioned the video:
“Pre-game tok#fyp”
The video came right before Bryce James's neutral non-conference game against Houston (Germantown, TN) on Saturday. Bryce James' side registered a comfortable 62-42 victory. The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers have begun the new year with back-to-back victories. Before crushing the Mustangs, the Trail Blazers also managed a thumping 68-54 victory against the Bartlett Panthers on Friday.
With their win over the Houston Mustangs, the Trail Blazers are now 13-3 this season. They are having an amazing run, winning their last seven matchups. Now, the Bryce James-led Trail Blazers will prepare for their clash against Bishop Alemany, which is scheduled on Wednesday.
Can Bryce James thrive with the Arizona Wildcats?
Bryce James announced his commitment to the Wildcats via an Instagram post just as the new year began, sparking a lively debate amongst fans and basketball analysts alike. For most, Bryce doesn't have the credentials to be on the Wildcats roster.
He is a 3-star prospect, ranking 257th in the 2025 class. Jeff Good, a basketball analyst and Arizona University alum, expressed his views on Bryce's commitment on the 'Field of 68 After Dark' podcast, saying:
“Well, listen, I was shocked. I’m an Arizona grad, number one. I’ve seen Bryce James play plenty, plenty over the last few years on the circuit.”
Goodman's comment only amplifies the scrutiny and accusations of nepotism that the James family has often faced, like the case of Bronny James, LeBron's oldest son. He was drafted into the NBA by the LA Lakers after a lackluster season with USC.
Incidentally, Bryce's stats also don't support his case. In five Peach Jam games, the youngster only averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in July this summer. His EYBL performance was equally unimpressive, with just 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game on average.
Adam Finkelstein, Director of Scouting at 247Sports, describes him as a ‘sound player’ who has the potential to grow.
“Bryce needs to be given time and space to run his own race, though. He may not be the dynamic athlete or playmaker some expect at first, but he is a fundamentally sound player with solid perimeter size and a good early skill set.”
Coach Tommy Lloyd is renowned for his ability to develop players and the patience to allow them time and space to grow. Bryce James will have ample opportunity to take his game to the next level and bloom into a player who reminisces about the power play of his father.
